Government Skills Toolkit

1 min read

The Governments’ Skills Toolkit offers free online training courses, tools and resources to help you improve your digital and numeracy skills. The resources cover a range of interests and are for beginners through to advanced so there should be something for everyone.

Why not focus on some free training during the furlough period (and beyond)?

Microsoft and cyber security online training

For beginners it covers the important Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.  There are courses that provide skills to master video calling, cyber security and working safely.  If you’re interested in Teams then read our dedicated articles with free online training courses.

If you’ve forgotten those maths skills learned at school (well I for one have!) then you can revise fraction conversations, understanding percentages and using tables and charts.

There’s social media for business, coding for data analysis, digital marketing fundamentals even Python programming.

Cyber Security

COVID-19 is bringing all kinds of cyber threats.  The Cyber Security course brought by Open Learning is valuable to keep both individuals and businesses protected.  This course looks very thorough covering malware, viruses, trojans, network security, risk management etc.

As always, if you need specifics in terms of Cyber Security then just reach out.  We are Cyber Essentials accredited so can guide you through your certification.
